Zoologist Perfumes Tyrannosaurus Rex is a perfume for women and men with a pronounced woody character, launched in 2018. Perfumer Antonio Gardoni created a complex blend of coniferous, spicy, floral, smoky and leathery notes. Its rich composition moves from aromatic spices and fir through a bold floral heart to a deep base of resins, leather, incense and woods.
In the top notes, resinous fir meets piquant black pepper, aromatic bay leaf and spicy nutmeg, complemented by fresh bergamot and neroli. The heart unfolds into a rich floral blend of champaca, geranium, rose, exotic ylang-ylang, osmanthus and jasmine. These bold florals contrast with the sharper, aromatic opening.
The base is dominated by resins, leather, smoky, woody cade oil and a kyara incense accord with a rare quality, joined by animalic civet musk. Cedar, patchouli and sandalwood add further depth, while vanilla brings a sweeter contrast. Zoologist Perfumes Tyrannosaurus Rex will appeal to lovers of complex unisex perfumes that combine spices and flowers with smoky, leathery, resinous and woody accords.
