FAQ - Frequently asked questions

Questions about the order

Is the perfume original?

We can assure you that we only offer authentic goods. All products are original brand perfumes that we source directly from verified suppliers in the EU region. We do not sell exhibition products or counterfeits, which could make us liable to prosecution and, in an emergency, jeopardize the existence of the company.

If the fragrance has a strong alcohol note, the fragrance water is yellowish in color or the fragrance evaporates within seconds, these may be signs of a spoiled or tipped fragrance. This can be caused by a strong heat wave or by incorrect storage during the long journey from the manufacturer via the wholesaler and supplier to our warehouse.

For this reason, and above all with the aim of maximizing customer satisfaction in our daily work, we offer an extended 30-day free return policy, instead of the statutory 14 days in which items can be returned free of charge.

Can I shop without registering?

Yes, you do not need to register to shop with us. Place the goods of your choice in the shopping cart and select the shipping partner and payment method. In the 2nd step "Personal data", enter the required data under "I am a new customer". You can always proceed in this way, regardless of whether you are a new customer or have ordered from us before.

Is there a discount for new customers?

Unlike many suppliers, we do not offer new customers a discount, but reward loyal customers who shop with us again and again. Repeat customers who register with us receive a 3% loyalty discount from their 2nd order after registration.

Where can I find information on shipping and payment methods?

You can find all the important information under Shipping and payment.

Eau de toilette or eau de parfum?

Have you ever wondered what the abbreviations and designations on the perfume bottle or packaging mean? They indicate the concentration of the fragrance oils.

Perfume extract(extrait) contains 15-40% aromatic fragrance oils.
Eau de Parfum(EDP) also known as Parfum de Toilette(PDT) contains 10-20% aromatic fragrance oils.
Eau de toilette(EDT) contains 5-15% aromatic fragrance oils.
Eau de Cologne(EDC) contains 3-8% aromatic fragrance oils.
After Shave contains 1-3% aromatic fragrance oils

How can I determine the shelf life of an article?

Are you wondering how long a perfume lasts? The answer to your question can be found directly on the packaging of the fragrance or cosmetic product. The open cream pot symbol with a number indicates the shelf life after opening. For fragrances, the usual value is "36 M", i.e. you can still use the perfume 36 months after unpacking the bottle.

Are you resident outside the EU and would like to export the goods personally?

Questions about products

What do EDP, EDT and EDC mean?

Perfumes are differentiated according to the percentage of perfume components, which determines the intensity and durability of the fragrance:

Perfume or extract is the most intense fragrance you can buy. The percentage of fragrance ingredients is usually 20-40%, the intensity is very spatial and the duration is very long (8-24 hours).
EDP - Eau de Parfum, or perfumed water. The proportion of fragrance components is usually 15-20%. The intensity is usually strong to mediumand the duration is around 4-8 hours.
EDT - Eau de Toillete, German toilet water. The percentage of fragrances is 10-15%, the intensity is usually low to medium and the duration is around 2-4 hours.
EDC - Eau de Cologne, German Kölnisch Wasser. The proportion of fragrances is 3-10%. The intensity is usually low and the duration is around 1-2 hours.

How and where should the perfume be applied so that it lasts as long as possible?

The longevity of a perfume is a question of concentration. In general, perfume is applied to the areas where there are blood veins under the skin, i.e. the neck, the nape of the neck, the wrists or the hollows of the elbows, but also the knees - the areas where the skin is warmest and where the perfume's fragrance is fully released. Perfume can also be applied to the hair, or just above the scalp. The perfume works particularly well on clothing made from natural materials. We do not recommend applying it to delicate and light-colored clothing, especially not to natural silk.

What are fragrance notes?

A perfume is made up of several fragrance notes. These fragrance notes form a so-called fragrance accord - generally these are substances that have a different degree of volatility. A distinction is made between

Top notes - develop immediately after applying the fragrance and can be smelled for a few minutes.
Heart notes - once the top notes have evaporated, you can smell the heart notes - the actual character of the fragrance, also known as the bouquet.
Base notes - have a long-lasting fragrance, are slightly volatile and are formed by heavy notes.

Interestingly, some eau de colognes consist only of top and heart notes.

What fragrance families are there?

Perfumers and perfume experts often categorize fragrances into different fragrance families or groups to describe their characteristic features and aromas. There are numerous fragrance families, but some of the best known and most common are:

Floral: Includes scents inspired by flowers such as rose, jasmine, lavender and orchid.

Citrusy: These fragrances are characterized by citrus fruits such as lemon, orange and grapefruit and have a refreshing character.

Oriental: Oriental fragrances are often rich and spicy, with notes of vanilla, amber, cinnamon and patchouli.

Woody: These fragrances include aromas of woody species such as cedarwood, sandalwood and vetiver.

Chypre: Chypre fragrances are characterized by their mossiness and often combine oakmoss, bergamot and patchouli.

Fougère: This fragrance family often contains notes of lavender, oakmoss and bergamot and has an aromatic-green character.

Gourmand: Gourmand fragrances are inspired by edible flavors and include notes such as chocolate, caramel and vanilla.

Aquatic: These fragrances are inspired by water and sea breezes and have a refreshing, clean character.

Fruity: Fruity fragrances often contain notes of fruit such as apple, berries, peach and melon.

Spicy: Spicy fragrances have intense spicy notes such as clove, cinnamon, pepper and nutmeg.

Green: These fragrances are inspired by fresh plant scents and contain notes such as grass, leaves and herbs.

Fragrance families

It is important to note that many perfumes contain a combination of fragrance families and that the nuances and aromas can vary depending on the perfume and brand.

Can a perfume smell differently on another person?

Yes, the scent depends on microorganisms on the body surface and the oil content of a person's skin. A perfume that someone likes on a person does not necessarily suit them.

Why not use different perfumes at the same time?

Each perfume has its own accords and character. The use of several perfumes can create a disharmony between the fragrances, leading to unsuccessful fragrance creations and unpleasant overall impressions.
