Zoologist Perfumes Penguin is a perfume for women and men with a distinctive leather character, launched in 2024. Created by perfumer Chiaki Nomura, the composition brings together cool, airy accords with spice, resinous notes and suede. It contrasts an icy opening with a deeper leathery, mossy and woody base.
The top notes combine airy ozonic notes, an unusual ice accord and aromatic juniper berries for a distinctly cool opening. In the heart, piquant pink pepper meets spicy saffron and resinous labdanum. Warmer spicy and balsamic nuances gradually take the place of the opening freshness.
The base centres on soft suede, joined by earthy moss, smooth musk and creamy sandalwood. The suede accord gives the perfume its leather character, while moss and wood add depth. Zoologist Perfumes Penguin will appeal to those who enjoy unusual unisex perfumes that pair cool ozonic accords with spice, resins and a softer expression of leather.
