Launched in 2023,Althaïr by Parfums de Marly is an oriental vanilla fragrance for men. This luxurious eau de parfum reflects the heritage of French haute perfumery and combines sweet, spicy and woody accords with a vanilla base. The fragrance was created by perfumers Hamid Merati-Kashani and Ilias Ermenidis in collaboration with Julien Sprecher. Althaïr is a perfect harmony between warm, sweet and fresh notes.
The opening of the fragrance offers a spicy blend of cinnamon, cardamom, orange blossom and bergamot, giving the scent a spicy and citrusy note with a light aromatic undertone. The heart of the fragrance delivers rich and warming bourbon vanilla along with elemi, giving the scent a subtle balsamic and sweet character. This combination creates a deep vanilla opulence.
The base of the fragrance is made up of praline, musk, ambroxan, guaiac wood, caramelized almond and tonka bean, giving the fragrance a sweet, woody and warm finish. Althaïr is ideal for lovers of vanilla and warm spicy fragrances with subtle touches of citrus and florals, ensuring a sensual and modern elegance.
My first PDM fragrance, I just love it. Smells great! Lasts a very long time. The packaging of the fragrance is unfortunately a little thin but that doesn't make the fragrance any worse.
