Created by perfumer Pierre Montale, this modern, richly layered composition celebrates every facet of the fig – its fruit, leaf and sweet juice. The fragrance opens with radiant freshness as the sharp, slightly tart note of rhubarb blends seamlessly with the delicate floral character of French violet and the distinctive nuance of fig leaves. Together, they evoke late spring, when everything is brimming with sap and life. At the heart lies sweet, intoxicating fig nectar, a dark plum accord and a surprisingly sensual touch of oud wood, lending the composition an oriental depth. Delicate Bourbon geranium and creamy-smooth Australian sandalwood round off this middle phase and lead into the rich base.
