Grès Cabotine is a floral perfume for women, launched in 1990. The composition was created by perfumer Jean Claude Delville. Its rich opening brings together coriander, orange blossom, cassia, blackcurrant, plum, mandarin and peach. Juicy fruity and citrus notes mingle here with aromatic spiciness and floral freshness, giving the fragrance a distinctive, multi-layered impression from the very first moments.
At the heart of the perfume, an opulent bouquet blooms with tuberose, hyacinth, carnation, jasmine, ylang-ylang, rose, freesia, iris, heliotrope and violet, enlivened by piquant ginger. Tuberose, jasmine and ylang-ylang bring the intense sensuality of white flowers, while hyacinth, freesia and violet add fresher, softer floral nuances to the composition. Cabotine is therefore a rich floral fragrance with a romantic, elegant and distinctly feminine character.
The base of Grès Cabotine is no less complex, combining civet, musk, vetiver, blackcurrant, sandalwood, cedar, amber, tonka bean and vanilla. Woody and earthy notes give the composition depth, while amber, tonka and vanilla introduce a warm sweetness, and musk with civet supports its sensual character. Cabotine will especially appeal to lovers of bold floral, tuberose and woody-amber fragrances who seek a complex perfume with the characteristic style of classic perfumery.
