A rich and sparkling blend of frankincense, cardamom, elemi, lemon, bergamot and Szechuan pepper develops in the opening, giving the fragrance an energetic, spicy freshness and a slightly resinous character. The heart of the fragrance brings a complex combination of patchouli, anise, coriander, Roman cumin, orange blossom, saffron, wormwood, geranium and rose, creating a rich and multi-layered composition with oriental depth.
The base is made up of intense and long-lasting accords of incense, vanilla, ambergris, benzoin, oud wood, opoponax, birch, labdanum, maltol and musk, providing a sensual, warm and luxurious trail. The brand was born out of a passion to revive the art of Arabic perfumery and create fragrances from exclusive traditional Middle Eastern ingredients. Amouage bottles are as unique as the scents themselves. The women’s fragrances are presented in bottles reminiscent of the Palace Ruwi Mosque in Muscat, while the men’s fragrances are shaped like the traditional Omani dagger, Khanjar. Since 1983, Amouage has expanded its collection, which now includes over 100 perfumes.
