Zoologist Perfumes Hummingbird is a perfume for women and men with a floral, fruity and gourmand character, launched in 2015. Perfumer Shelley Waddington created a rich blend of juicy fruit, varied florals, honeyed sweetness and creamy notes. The layered fragrance moves from a fruity-floral opening through a sweeter, honeyed heart to a soft woody-musk base.
In the top notes, prominent lilac mingles with cherry, pear, apple and plum, accompanied by lily of the valley, violet leaves, rose and fresh citrus notes. The richer heart centres on sweet honey and floral honeysuckle, joined by mimosa, exotic ylang-ylang, peony and tulip. Here, juicy fruit meets pronounced floral sweetness, gradually taking on a gourmand dimension.
In the base, creamy whipped cream meets soft musk, sweetly aromatic coumarin and earthy moss. Warm amber, creamy sandalwood and light woody notes add depth while balancing the sweetness of the preceding layers. Zoologist Perfumes Hummingbird will appeal to those who favour boldly floral and fruity unisex perfumes, combining honeyed and creamy sweetness with a soft woody base.
