SWISSDENT® is gentle whitening! Swissdent dental cosmetics lighten your teeth with a combination of enzymes and a micronized peroxide formula, without the need to achieve high dentin abrasiveness (RDA) values. The extra potent formula of natural enzymes papain and bromelain is combined with patented Nanoxide ®, a micronized calcium peroxide at a safe concentration of 0.1%. Natural enzymes derived from pineapple and papaya very effectively remove protein pellicle on the tooth surface and therefore plaque and extrinsic discoloration. Nanoxyd® , a micronized calcium peroxide, decolours the pigments, both on the tooth surface and between the enamel crystals. Therefore, we recommend that you do not rinse your mouth immediately after using the whitening paste, but only spit out the paste to ensure that the peroxide lasts as long as possible. Due to their gentleness, whitening pastes do not contain SLS (sodium lauryl sulphate), a foaming agent that is attributed to the formation of aphthae and also results in sensitivity of the oral mucosa.
