Le Galion Special for Gentlemen is a men’s perfume with an aromatic fougère character, launched in 2014. The fragrance composition was created by perfumer David Maruitte. The scent blends sparkling citrus with aromatic lavender, warm spices and resinous accords, gradually moving into a deeper base of vanilla, oakmoss and patchouli. The composition therefore brings together classic elements of men’s perfumery with richer balsamic and animalic notes.

In the top notes, distinctive cedrat combines with fresh bergamot to create a bright citrus opening. The heart of the fragrance belongs to aromatic lavender, complemented by warm cinnamon, amber and resinous labdanum. The pairing of lavender with spices and resins gives the composition more pronounced depth and prepares the transition towards the darker tones of the base.

In the base notes, balsamic opoponax merges with sweet vanilla, earthy oakmoss, smoky-woody birch and patchouli, while castoreum adds a characteristic animalic, leathery accent. The result is a rich, woody-resinous finish with a subtle sweetness.
