His love for majesty continued two decades later when he turned to perfumery. In 1999, he acquired the traditional perfumery company Crown Perfumery Company, founded in 1872 and the only one ever granted permission to display Queen Victoria's crown emblem on its bottles. The iconic royal symbol remains the hallmark of Clive Christian's luxurious perfumes to this day.
