BORNTOSTANDOUT® Black Karak is an oriental-woody perfume for women and men, launched in 2025. The composition was created by perfumers Véronique Nyberg and Maxime Exler. The scent is built on a striking blend of oud, leather and black tea, creating a dark, smoky and intense character. Saffron and cardamom add warm spiciness and emphasise the oriental atmosphere of the entire composition.
At its expressive heart, guaiac wood, milk and cypriol (nagarmotha) intertwine. The smoky woody nuances of guaiac and the earthy cypriol contrast with a soft milky accord, lending the fragrance an unexpected creaminess. Black Karak works with the contrast between rougher leathery, oud and smoky notes and a soft milky smoothness accompanied by aromatic black tea.
The composition of BORNTOSTANDOUT® Black Karak is further deepened by tonka bean, amber wood and coffee. Coffee brings roasted bitterness, tonka a gently sweet and creamy shade, and amber wood a warm woody intensity. Black Karak will appeal to lovers of oud, leathery, tea, coffee and smoky-woody fragrances who are looking for an unconventional unisex perfume with a dark, spicy and at the same time surprisingly creamy character.
