Rhodanthe by Electimuss is a unisex perfume launched in 2019 by perfumer Sofia Bardelli. This fragrance is a celebration of rose at its most sensual - dark, gourmand and refinedly oriental. Rhodanthe draws inspiration from ancient beauty and feminine power, while offering an intense and multi-layered olfactory experience for both men and women.
The opening of the fragrance is fresh and spicy - spicy clove mingles with sweet pear and sparkling citrus in the form of bergamot and lemon. This combination is sharp, energetic and at the same time fruity. The clove adds a warming base from the very first moment, giving the fragrance a distinctive onset.
In the middle notes, a rich floral and gourmand bouquet develops. The dominant Bulgarian rose here is dark, full and velvety, surrounded by raspberry, which brings a fruity sweetness, and violet with a subtle powdery nuance. There's also a dry note of black tea that soothes and softens the composition, while saffron and pink pepper add a spicy, oriental accent.
The base of the fragrance is deep, dark and warm - dominant oud (agarwood) mingles with patchouli, musk, vanilla and a creamy amber veil. Cedarwood grounds the entire composition, adding structure and ensuring longevity. The oud here is not animalic, but refined - perfectly matched with the other elements.
Rhodanthe is a bold, rich and flamboyantly elegant oriental rose fragrance with sensual and spicy accents. It's more suited for evening wear or the cooler months, when its layered complexity and exceptional projection are at their best.
