The perfume opens with a spicy explosion: black pepper and pink peppercorn add a sharp, dry and pungent onset, while resinous cistus incanus (rock rose) brings a balsamic touch. A subtly sweet mandarin brings a sparkling citrus note to the opening, but it quickly gives way to depth and intensity of heart.

There is a dark elegance at the heart. Patchouli here is earthier, darker and more raw than in classic floral compositions - as if it grew straight from the underworld.
